INTRO

Sound analysis is always a topic of interest to researchers in different eras. Galileo Galilei initially predicted the correlation between pitch and sound source frequency in the fifteenth century. Later, French mathematician Marin Mersenne physically proved the correlation by using the stretched string to represent the oscillation frequency in experiments. To better observe the law of sound, candle flame has been introduced as a method to visualize sound by observing the effect of sound on flame. In modern society, advanced signal processing technology gives us more chances to visualize audio. The Audio Visualization I created used the Fast Fourier Transform to visualize audio by applying the mathematical algorithm.
